Slow computer

Slowly but surely, at one point or another, your typical computer will begin to slow down. You may not notice it over time, until one day it strikes you as you experience an abrupt lagging phenomena when the programs you’ve got running does not seem like itself. Merely trying to view photos, pick and listen to your favorite music takes what is almost like forever to process. Ultimately, everything slows down in a way that grandma can win the race between man and computer! Then it just becomes unbearable and painstakingly intolerable, causing you too much frustration on top of too much time wasted. What is the reason behind this stressful inevitable occurrence?

Though it’s really hard to tell how each person uses his computer and generalize activities, it would basically be loaded with a myriad of things and loaded with various files and programs and software. Each would definitely have different purposes and can altogether run simultaneously. This is evidently the reason why a brand-new computer that’s recently purchased is undeniably the fastest of all, being clean and uncluttered just yet from programs and files.

As time goes by, we would constantly download files, install software we need whether at home, work or school, and browse the internet and login to favorite sites almost every day. Thus, temporary files from surfing the web accumulate by the day. If proper maintenance is not observed, a computer is exactly what it is, a huge container of information and can become bogged down with an overwhelming amount! The corruption of software and the hard drive can also cause slowing down of the computer system. Corruption can pertain to bugs within the operating system or corrupted data on RAM which serves as the memory required to run programs. Surprisingly enough, it can be due to static electricity brought about by carpet and other types of fabric, power disruptions and surges, sign of hardware failure, and can be a usual process degrading with age kind of slowness common for Windows users.

The most significant factor when it comes to computer slowness is no doubt, the lack of memory to be able to run programs with a faulty or corrupted RAM as mentioned earlier. It exerts more hard work as more information builds up on the computer, and considering as well the shortage of limited hard disk space which can be inevitable. Lack of memory pushes your hard drive towards its limits upon trying to compensate and opening up more space for the memory, gathering most resources from other computer operations.

The best way to provide a quick remedy is to start deleting and uninstalling software that are no longer being used and unnecessarily takes up space that can be put to good use. PC and MAC users can take advantage of free programs that aid in cleaning up their crowded hard drives and alleviating the sluggishness of your system. If you actually do not have any added software lingering on your computer, then it can be attributed to the age of the computer hard drive and slowing down as one can normally expect. Try cleaning your computer to let it break-free form any potential malware or virus that can be the culprit, and do a routine cleanup of your browsing history, cache, and temporary internet files.

Given the fact that internet data is continuously growing and becoming more complex with the many advancements along with tons of new information, computers can indeed become more obsolete and slower a lot sooner than expected. The way it was built and specifications simply cannot keep up with the requirements of today’s modern times and technology.
